Impacts of Christian Missionary Movement on Muslim Leadership: An Analytical Study in the Light of Prophetic (PBUH) Preaching.
Abstract
Christian Missionary Movement has been remained influential in Muslim World since 17th century. It was the major objective of the Movement to convert Muslims to Christianity. At least, there prime focus has been remained on the conversion or make Muslim Leadership flexible for Christianity. Astonishing, Crusades provided foundations but 20th century was peak time of Missionary Movement. Elucidatory, in 1909 first Missionary Conference held in Cairo which boasted their activities in Muslim World. In this regard, a number of Muslim Leaders betrayed Muslims in Spain, Arab World and the Sub Continent by accompanying and serving for Missionaries. Contrary, the Preaching Method of Prophets (PBUT) was also to convert leaders and chiefs of tribes because the followers follow them blindly. So, whenever leaders accepted message of the Prophets (PBUT), the whole tribe immediately accepted the message. Inversely, whenever leaders and chiefs denied the message, Prophets (PBUT) had not succeeded much by inviting people to Allah Almighty. Thus, in this article the influences of Missionary Movement on Muslim Leadership will be analyzed in the light Prophetic style of preaching.
