علم الکلام کی تشکیل نو: فکرِمابعد جدیدیت کے تناظر میں
Abstract
In the Muslim tradition, Kalam is a science which justifies religions doctrines and commands on rational grounds. In the Abbasid Caliphate period, the science of Kalam was in its climax. Muslim Mutkalmeen used to reject the profane doctrines of the western modernism, intellectually and logically, in their own respective epochs. However, in the 1980s, postmodernism was emerged, in reaction to modernism, which promoted more profane doctrines. Postmodernism has not only rejected the doctrines of modernism but also the idea of Absolute Reality. Postmodernism develops a new path by repudiating the foundations of modernism and its religious criticism. Hence, in this article, we provide a rationale for the reconstruction of Kalam in perspective of the postmodern frameworks so the current and future students of religion could discover new developments in knowledge and research. By understanding the significance of Kalam, they could not only enhance their intellectual capabilities, but also contribute for the development of Kalam, which had become dormant under the attacks of modernism and then postmodernism.
