Abstract

Islam is an absolutely perfect religion.Its teachings are universal
and for all mankind and Jinn till the day of judgement.It is a preaching
religion for its goal is to give guidance to all men and to illuminate the
mind of each human being with its teachings.By telling the Ulama that
"Scholars are the inheriters of the prophets" the Prophet(P.B.U.H)
made it incumbent upon them to convey to others even if it is a single
verse of Quran.Therefore, inorder to fulfil this essential duty the
Muslims tried to establish different academic institutions.Among them
the institutions which were established for the teaching of religion are
called 'Deeni Madaaris"/Religious Schools. These religious schools
continued to exist in each period of Muslim history.The religious school
in Pakistan are also busy imparting the knwledge of Sharia to the
Muslim youth.These Madaaris exist in different cities,towns and
villages of Pakistan.Some of these are working in mosques,some in
buildings affiliated with mosques while some are being run by relgious
families in homes.In this artcle some suggestions have been
propounded for the betterment of their structure after brief survey
and analysis of different schools,keeping in view their different
systems,objectives and categories.
