Abstract

Islam is distinct in the matter to give complete instructions about
orphans so that they could be a permanent part of that society. None
of the other religions have given so much instructions in that regard.
The purpose of these teachings is to enable them as a useful part of
society.Holy Prophet's(PBUH) teachings about orphans include:their
complete assistance, love and affection for them, safety of their
inherited property,arrange for their education and marriage, and
government has duty to impose for the safety of their property. It
should be noted that Islam has given three main points about their
rights.
1. Their nearest relatives and families are responsible for their care.
2. Other Muslims should take care of their rights.
3. Islamic Government is responsible for their affairs and Islam has
given stress on that point.
Many blessings of Allah have one who looks after an orphan, many
positive effect of that act on society are:
1.He would be in Paradise together with Holy Prophet(PBUH) like
middle finger together with index finger.
2.Supporting an orphan is itself a Sadqa, and it would have double
reward if orphan is your relative.
3.Supporting an orphan causes goodness in that life and also in the life
hereafter.
4.It can eradicate jealousness from society and will spread love and
affection.
5. Respecting and looking after an orphan has respect and virtue as
well.
6. One who looks after an orphan clearly have shown his love with Holy
Prophet (PBUH).
7. Supporting the orphan shows virtue and betterness for a woman,
because after the death of his husband, by looking after her children
she could be in Paradise with Holy Prophet(PBUH).
8.Supporting an orphan results in positive attitudes in society and will
eradicate negative attitudes.
