مصحف میں نقط و اعراب کے مختلف مراحل- ایک تحقیقی و تقابلی جائزہ
Abstract
The early writing of the Holy Quran, according to the customs of
the time, was without dots and accents(aerabs).such style of
writing was neither difficult for Arabs nor new. With the
expansion in the boundries of islamic empire and induction of the
non-Arab muslims also,it became very difficult for them to read
such a writing. They used to commit mistakes.so a system of dots
and accents was developed to prevent the Holy Quran from such
mistakes. This was completed in three phases. In the first
phase, during the era of governor Basra Ziyad,Abu-ul-Aswad
Aldulay introduced a system of accents based on dots, which is
called diacritical marks. During the second phase, Yahya bin
Yammer and Nasar bin Asim introduced a system of dots to
differenciate between identical alphabets. These dots are called
Skeletal dots. During third phase Khalil bin Ahmed introduced the
present symbols of the accents.
