The Methods and Styles of Sirah Writing in Saudi Arabia: An Analytical Study
Abstract
The Sirah writers have adopted a variety of trends, styles, and techniques to describe the blessed life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Narrative, historical, geographical, jurisprudential, literary, epistemological, and analytical are some of the techniques that have been used in different Sirah books. These techniques proved to be quite effective and beneficial in comprehending the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to achieve certain goals and objectives in practical life. Modern Arabian Sirah writers described and depicted the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) using the same techniques. In this context, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has great significance. Here, the Sirah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has been explored from a variety of angles, and numerous doable actions have been taken to educate and train people. In this research paper, different methods and styles adopted in the Sirah books, written and compiled in Saudi Arabia since 1950, have been introduced with examples. Moreover, some lists of books that feature these Sirah writing techniques and styles have also been given.
