Welfare Work during the Reign of Feroz Shah Tughluq (1351-1388): An Analytical Study

Abstract

Only the welfare work and institutions that a nation builds and maintains can best paint a picture of a nation's life. The nation regulates its life with the organization of the state and the state itself is a mirror of its needs, its mission and its struggle. If one wants to know the nature of a country, one has to go beyond administrative institutions. Governments have always seemed to be interested in public welfare to meet the needs of the people. Muslim administrators have always recognized the importance of the public welfare department because it is believed that public welfare and political stability are inseparable. Feroz Shah Tughlaq was a capable and intelligent ruler. Feroze Shah Tughlaq did a lot for the welfare of the people in his time after Muhammad Tughlaq. It would not be an exaggeration to say that no other Tughlaq ruler has done as much work as Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq during Tughlaq rule .The purpose of this article is to review the welfare work done during the reign of Feroz Shah Tughlaq.
