Moral foundations of Western thought and Islam: A comparative study

Abstract

Ethics is the second one name of good manners. Importance of ethics cannot be neglected in the society. The existence of goodness in the society and evil must be ended in the society is the basic demand of ethics. Ethics related to religion, society and philosophy. Thoughts and ideas of philosophy can give to human a moral perspective but esoteric training is not possible with them. When morality is certified by religion, man develops the ability to act. The foundations of morality were shaken when attempted to limit the intrusion of religion into the western way of life, because the ethical concepts given by the religion cannot be provided by the system basis on the rationalism.
