Abstract

Water is essential for life on the Earth. Islam is complete code of life; it guides its followers in every walk of life. According to Islam, water is a community natural resource and is a right of all living beings throughout the society. According to contemporary research reports, water is continuously decreasing in Pakistan. Therefore, it is the need of time to highlight simple Islamic principles about water management and conservation.  The wastage of water and water pollution is strictly forbidden in Islam. The principles of water management and conservation have been described very clearly in Islam. Many organizations are working on water resources conservation throughout the world because water resources conservation is a global issue in these days. Islamic water conservation principles are unique and in harmony with globally accepted principles of water resources conservation. The main objective of this article is to explore the Islamic perspective upon importance of water, water conservation, water pollution and violation of international water rules by India.
