Do Islamic Work Ethics reduce the negative effect of Perception of Politics on Job Outcomes? Evidence from IT sector of Pakistan
Abstract
This empirical research aims to investigate the interaction effect of Islamic work ethics on relationship of perception of politics with job performance, affective commitment and job satisfaction. Primary Data have been collected from a sample of 319 nurses from different organizations through a 33 itemed self-administered questionnaire. Simple random sampling technique has been utilized. Data analysis yields negative relationships between Perception of Politics, Affective Commitment, Job Satisfaction and Job Performance. However, Islamic Work Ethics moderates these relationships. The paper recognizes the negative effects of Perception of Politics, thus decreasing Job satisfaction, Job performance and Affective commitment of employees. Therefore, it is worth attending to investigate the effect of these variables on job outcomes in this sector.
