Ya ayu hal Muzammil, Clues and Interpretations: A new Dimension of the Understanding Quran

Abstract

The implied purport of the Quranic text is the core focus of Quranic interpreters since ancient epoch. Implied meanings are evidence of miraculousness of the text of the Quran. The Quranic verses are deciphered by obtaining hidden meanings of the Quranic words by contemplation and pondering upon the Quranic statements. The articles is struggle to apply this methodology of contemplation to reveal Quranic meaning hidden in the words. The Quranic words Ya ayyuha al-muzammil have been pondered to acquire some new meanings from linguistic hints and indications of these words. Ten meanings have deducted including the admissibility of calling the name of Prophet (s.a.w.w.) in absentia due to the sentiments of love and affection, Permissibility to give the names to persons on the basis of their temporary qualities and status, legitimacy of opting some attire as slogan or emblem  and so on.
