A Research Based and Comparative Study of The Traditions of Majahil in Musnad Ahmad and the Ta' likat's of Allama Ahmad Shaker

Abstract

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (r.a) is a legendry scholar of early Islamic history. He had a huge grip on Ilm e AsmaulRijaal. He used many principals from other principalities, but mostly he retrieved his own principals and implemented them during his research. The certain topic is a comparative study between his viewpoints and other famous principalities about anonymous narrators and their Ahadith’s status.  Imam Ahmad (r.a) accepted conditionally many Ahadith from this kind of narrators. His approach to accept from these anonymous narrators is to be well-known among citizens of same arear or sometimes in principalities. But mostly, he has been observed that he accepted many Ahadith’s form them without any hard criteria or conditions, that he used in Al-Musnad. While the other hand Allama Ahmad Shakir (Egyptian) paid a research study & commentary on Al-Musnad and he also adopted the viewpoint of famous principalities as well as Imam Ahmad’s viewpoint at some Ahadith’s. We found many places where Imam Ahmad (r.a) and Allama Ahmad Shakir both are following contradictive rules. Imam Ahmad (r.a) uses his own principals but Allama Ahmad Shakir mostly follows majority based rules. In this article, with an analytical study, some of his major and innovent concepts and justified principals about anonymous narrators are discussed in the light of Al-Musnad by Imam Ahmad (r.a).
