The traditions of the Companionship of “Ratan Hindi" of India: Research and Criticism
Abstract
The chain of prophet hood ends on Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), who born in Mecca/Arab. It is obvious and clear that his companions (sahaba’s) are bright shining stars, guiding role models and have placed a very high level among Muslim ummah.After the description and condition of a sahabi, this research paper will explain suspicious claim of a Hindi person named “ Ratan Hindi”. He born in 6th A.H. claimed that he enjoyed the company of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and attended the wedding ceremony of Hazrat Fatima (R.A). He also claimed his presence on some other occasions, i.e. battle of trench (Ghazwah.e.Khandaq). This research paper presents Ratan’s claim, as well as his narrated “Ahadees”. Moreover, historical,logical and other facts will prove that his claim is false and baseless
