Abstract
Sheikh Muhammad Matvali Al-Sharawi was a famous Interpreter (Mufasir) and Imam of 20th century.Most of the material of his teaching and preaching is present on internet in the form of audio and video recording. His famous and most useful Tafsir “TafsirAl.sharawi” is also the collection of his addresses. In this Tafsir, he adopted a very simple and easy method.So; it is very easy to understand this Tafsir for all the Muslims especially the Arabs. Sheikh Al-sharawi went to Hajj in 1938AD from Jamia Al Azhar Egypt, when he was a student of this Jamia. He got degree in 1941AD from The College of Arabic Language Al. Azhar. Most of the scholars called him “Imam of the time” and gave him the title of “Imam-ul-Da’at”. This is due to Sheikh Al. sharawi had such capability that he might be teach and guide many matters of Islam with simplicity and easily. Moreover, he tried very hard for the development and preaching of Islam. For this purpose, he travelled to America, Europe, Turkey and other countries of the world. He has discussed many important matters in his Tafsir. For example to use the language freely to understand the Quran , tried to clear fluency and meaning of words of Quran, social reforms , answers of the Orientalists , questions and doubts , sometimes discussions of personal experiences , combination of simplicity and deepness, use of examples , to describe the topic with detail , to describe tasawof . In the last parts of his Tafsir, he used the way of logic and shortness due to his illness, so that the Tafsir may be completed in his life. This is why, he apologized on television and also prayed for theforgiveness to Allah Almighty.
