Abstract

The Holy Qur’an is the Word of Allah Subhanaho wa Ta‘ala. It is possessed of the zenith of diction, the acme of Style, the epitome of eloquence and the diversity of subject-matter. Intellectual and philosophical profundity is a hall-mark of its grandeur. It is in line with the vicissitudes of times and the needs of the hour. It is, in other words, a solution to all the potential problems. Modern discoveries and insights and inventions owe their existence to the Holy Qur’an.  Allah- u- Ta‘ala whose Word it is, is All- Powerful. There is no one like unto Him. Efforts were made in the distant past to find comparisons and imitations of it, but that proved to be a miserable fiasco. The Holy Qur’an itself has thrown a challenge to the entire world which also bespeaks its status as the Word of Allah-u- Ta‘ala. The said challenge will stand till the Day of Judgment. So far, no one has accepted the challenge. All are helpless before it. Not a single line has been composed to equal its magnificence. It is inimitable. The following is an account of the miraculous challenge of the Holy Qur’an.
