Abstract

Qur'anic implications upon Prophetic traditions and Principles of Prophetic traditions. The last divine book; Quran, in its own words is the Book that is as an exposition of everything, and guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who are Muslims. The Quran had been considered core and original source of Shariah commandments since primitive era to date. Moreover, Muslim Scholars have pondered upon the Quran and derived basic rules for all disciplines of Islamic knowledge. Prophetic traditions are also believed as primary and authentic source of Shariah in the light of Quran. The Scholars of Prophetic traditions (Hadith) inferred the principles of Prophetic traditions (Usul e Hadith) from the Quranic verses. The article discloses the arguments and pattern of reasoning of Hadith scholars to authenticate and validate the principles of Prophetic traditions. The article substantiate that Quran and hadith are interlinked and indispensible for each other.
