Abstract

Are the commandments related to Hijab, and addressed to the Mothers of the Faithful in the Holy Quran, specifically for the Mothers of the Faithful or for Muslim women in general? In the article given below, this standpoint has been explained with arguments. The commands given in the Holy Quran are not particularly for the mothers of the Faithful but for the common Muslim Women as well. The early Islamic community presents such followable and appreciable example of this Islamic command of hijab which is unparalleled in the whole human history. It very clearly and vividly proves as how much importance Islam attaches to the honour, respect, dignity and safety of women.
