Abstract

In the Sub-Continent Indo-Pakistan, almost on all topics related to Ahkam-al-Quran work has been done. In this regard Nail-al-Maram min Aayat-al- Ahkam writhen by Nawab Sadiq- al-Hassan is very significant one. In this Tafseer, he has explained those verse of the Holy Quran which are related to Ahkam and various Masail (Problems /Questions) has been derived from them. According to him such verses are about tow hundreds. Nail- al-Maram consists on 354 pages. In the beginning, Nawab Sadiq- al- Hassan khan has writhen a preface of tow Pegs. In the end of Tafseer he has included a list of books, which consists on 5 pages. Nawab Sidiq-al-Hassan khan divided the verses related to Ahkam into tow kinds. The First kind Consists on those verses whose meanings are clear. The second kind consists on those verses where differences of opinion exist among the jurists regarding certain issues/ Problems. The author before explaining verses gives the name of that chapter where the verses is situated. He also describes the total No. of verses in that chapter and also mentions that the chapter is mekki or Medni. If there exists any difference of opinion among the mufesirin regarding contain points, he points out the differenced too. While explaining the verses the author describes the causes of revelation of verses (Shan-i-Nazool), In this regard if these exists any difference of opinion among the Ageists, he also descries it. The author has given the literal meanings of words while explaining verses related to Ahkam,describing,Apart from literal meanings, he quotes the sayings of lexicographist regarding these words. He has explained in detail Salat, Zakat, Haj, Qisas, Hilal and Haram (lawful and unlawful) Meerath (Legacy) and Mehramat-Nikah (with whom Nikah or marriage is not permissible ).
