Abstract

Religion has been an important factor in the history of the world and it has played a positive role in the construction of human behavior. Religion creates and nurtures such pure emotions that ensure peace in human society. It not only creates connection between man and Lord but also strengthens relation between human beings. That is why there is a consensus of different religions of the world in regard of human welfare. This consensus is in principle but there are differences in the interpretations and explanations. In this research paper the teachings of those religions have been analyzed that have influenced majority of the population of the world in the field of public welfare. Three semantic religions have been discussed here. It has been observed that Islam perfected the principles of public welfare that were present in different religions with a few shortcomings. Islam expanded the boundaries of the concept of public welfare that was limited in other religions.
