Abstract

It is agreed reality that disciplines of knowledge always travel
through different phases to acquire their final and complete form. The
Quranic sciences of tafsir and principles of tafsir were originated in
the epoch of holy prophet (s.a.w.) but compilation of both were started
later. This article deals with chronological evolution of said two
Quranic sciences
