The Methodology of Imam Mughaltai in the Al-Ilam Commentary on Sunnan Ibn-E- Maja

Abstract

ImamAla-ud-Din Mughaltaiis an enlightened Hanafi scholar who has great names in his teacher’s list as well as in pupils’list. He was Ash’ari as per belief.He had a great contribution in Islamic literature. He wrote many books which are cited in different writings.His contribution will be remembered.Among his great books, ‘Al-Ilaam Be-Sunnah Alaihissalam Sharah Ibn-e-Majah’ is a memorable contributuion which is commonly called ‘Sharah Mughaltai’. It is a commentary on Al-Sunan by Iban-e-Maja. Here in this article, we are to explain the methodology of this book so that the importance of this book may be described for the benifet of scholars, writers and general public.
