Quranic Philosophy of Rise and fall: Conclusion & Consequence

Abstract

History proves us that Nations raise and falls. The main thing is what lessons we may obtain from history and from scriptures. Why do nations decline and fall and what are the causes of down fall of great Nations? History has proved, time and again, that a nation's moral condition and its character are key to its survival. According to Holy Quran, the rise and fall is a test for a Nation for its examination and evaluation. The Holy Quran considers the lust and love for accumulation of wealth, lack of self confidence, disobedience of God, lack of discipline, no emphasis on enjoining good and prohibiting evils etc: the causes of the downfall of Muslims. This paper is discussing and analyzing the above mentioned causes of downfall and its consequences.
