Abstract
Religion has always been an important factor in the history of mankind and it has played its role in the spiritual development and progress of man. The physical activities of man disturb his spiritual self, so every religion has focused on the physical activities of its followers. Due to this reason all the religions have focused on the important physical need of food. In this research paper the teachings of all the notable religions of the world regarding food have been analyzed. The study focuses on three Semite and two non-Semite religions. After their comparative study it has been proved that Islam addressed all those issues that were not addressed and the flaws in the teachings of other religions. So like other teachings of Islam, the teachings regarding food seek middle way and are flawless.
